In the development of this campaign, I wanted to express the beauty of Rowland Heights—the small, unassuming community I grew up in—through everything ordinary about it that I had taken for granted, whether that be the nature, trash, or boba-filled plazas, and exemplify how it could serve as artistic inspiration. I decided to approach the campaign’s visual identity with a bold and complex illustration that highlighted the unexpected discoveries in Rowland’s environment, paired with a contrasting Brutalist type treatment.
